Head of IT Security

As Head of IT security, you will report to our Director of IT & Logistics and lead the IT security team of 5 employees. You are successful in your job, when you ensure that our IT platform always complies with MASCOT’s internal security policies and external auditors’ demands and when you have an engaged and motivated team.

The Job
Based at MASCOT´s headquarters in Pårup, near Silkeborg, Denmark, your work activities will take place on-site and you will together with the IT security team perform the following tasks:

• Ensuring MASCOT is reaching a mature security level and is effective at identifying, detecting, responding, and recovering from a security event.
• Ensures the security team evolves as an organization, in its capabilities, and equipment to keep pace with the threat in the environment.
• Monitoring changes in legislation and other regulations within the IT area.
• Developing and implementing strategies and plans for all IT security issues.
• Developing and implementing cross functional policies and procedures within the company. 
• Developing, implementing, and revising controls and control tracks.
• Performing risk assessments.
• Conducting periodical audits as well as participating in external IT audit.
• Implementing and configuring IT security systems.
• Participating in GDPR Compliance within MASCOT, mostly related to security and deleting of Master- and transactions data.
• Leading and motivating the IT security team.
  
  

 Your profile

• You have a relevant IT-educational background and have preferably worked within Compliance and IT Security previously.
• You have experience as a leader or interest in becoming a leader.
• You’re comfortable with solving tasks individually and as part of a team.
• You are motivated by the high expectations of your performances.
• English and Danish at a high professional or fluent level in writing and speaking. If you also speak German, this would be welcomed.
