Sales Manager Iceland

Then you may be our new Sales Manager for Iceland.

About the Job

You will be a part of an international team of dedicated colleagues reporting to our Market Director Nordics who is working from Denmark. Together you will coordinate the overall sales efforts for large-scale industrial end users and distributors that you may already know through your current position within sales. Your primary role will be to develop the cooperation with our limited numbers of existing distributors in Iceland.

Your tasks in the job:

  • Working with existing Icelandic distributors on potential end user accounts
    • Acquiring new end-users in Iceland.
    • 30 % distributor focus and 70% end-user acquisition in cooperation with our distributor network.
    • Responsible planning and ensuring the further development of our current distributors in Iceland.
    • To report planned and completed sales efforts through CRM.
    • Attend trade exhibitions.
    • Follow-up on campaigns sent from Mascot International.
    • Maintain close dialogue with the Market Director Nordics about large end-users in the pipeline.
    • A lot of travelling in Iceland especially in the build-up phase
    • Being responsible for the budget and targets.

Professional skills:

You have at least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager/Key Account Manager/Account Manager in a B2B environment and it will be an advantage if you know the workwear/Safety Footwear or other PPE industry. You have a hands-on-attitude and can present solid and measurable results from previous jobs. You have good negotiation skills, and a persuasive personality and you make long-term relationships with customers. You have the possibility to establish a home office. 

Personal skills:

It is important that you work independently, have a strong work ethic and ensure deadlines are met. You like to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment where you can keep several balls in the air at the same time - without dropping them. We prefer candidates with a stable CV.  We prefer candidates living in the greater Reykjavík area. You speak and write Icelandic on a native level, and you can communicate and negotiate in English or Danish.
