Account Manager, Mid/East Ireland

MASCOT is one of Europe’s leading manufactures of workwear and footwear. Mascot Workwear International Ltd. is MASCOT’s Irish subsidiary. Sales in Ireland have more than doubled in the last three years and a strong pipeline of growth is in place. Based on the increasing sales, we have established a new position based east of Athlone. The person in this role should help open new retail distribution opportunities from the midlands to the east coast of Ireland as well as develop and grow our valued customers in the same region.

The role:
Reporting to the Irish Country Manager your task will be to develop the sales of MASCOT workwear and safety footwear in your sales district.
Your main objectives include:

  1. To open new and profitable points of sale for distribution of MASCOT clothing and footwear
  2. To develop and grow new distribution channels through agreed plans and regular visits
  3. To work directly with a portfolio of existing MASCOT distributors in order to retain, develop and grow potential
  4. To promote and sell newly launched products directly to new and existing MASCOT distributors
  5. To promote and sell seasonal and other campaigns directly to new and existing distributors
  6. To promote, build and merchandise MASCOT “shop-in-shop” solutions and point of sale materials in existing and new distribution outlets
  7. To support MASCOT’s sales team at exhibitions

Our Irish sales team currently consists of 3 people. In your daily work, you will work closely together with your Irish colleagues, the Sales Director for UK and Ireland, our Customer Services Department, our Marketing Department and our Finance Department.

Commercially driven profile
You should possess a strong work ethic and have experience selling to independent retailers, hardware stores, agricultural stores, DIY stores or similar outlets. You should be able to motivate yourself and preferably have a successful trading relationship with people in these businesses. 

Although you have longevity in your employment record, you now want to further develop your career with an organisation that is professional, ethical and award winning. Experience within workwear and footwear is not a must as comprehensive training will be provided. It is however a must that you live in the sales territory.

On a personal note you are driven and energetic and you enjoy working in a dynamic work environment. Your structured way of working enables you to maintain an overview and focus, even when things are busy. Preferably you also have a good commercial understanding. You are capable of working and creating strong results on your own, as well as being a team player.

The position comes with a competitive base salary and uncapped commission based on all sales in Ireland and Northern Ireland. There is also a target related quarterly bonus and a company pension scheme. The position includes a fully expensed company vehicle for business and private use with up to 30,000 km per annum.
