Global Key Account Manager

Mascot International A/S develops, manufactures, and markets high quality workwear and safety footwear for tradespeople, construction workers and industrial customers. MASCOT is the market leader in workwear in Denmark and among the largest brands in Europe.

We strive to ensure that our customers are always served professionally across national borders. In order to continue the approach of large international end-user companies, we are looking for a Global Key Account Manager (GKAM).

The job

As a GKAM you will independently manage, coordinate, and follow up MASCOT's efforts towards Global Key Accounts primarily in the German, as well as the international market, for industrial and safety apparel. Your main task will be to ensure that all key account projects are running smoothly and that they meet quality, schedule, and financial targets. You will be responsible for the implementation of agreements for the sale of MASCOT workwear to large-scale industry and groups globally via our Global Account Management department in Pårup, near Silkeborg.


Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that Global Key Accounts are always in the pipeline by organising, implementing, and coordinating outreach sales to international customers.
  • Independently, and in close cooperation with the internal and external sales organisation, ensuring a timely delivery of GKAM customers to dealers during order execution, and providing an effective and persistent after sales follow-up.
  • Budgeting/responsibility for own Global Account Management customers in collaboration with the GKAM Director.
  • Participating in relevant international trade fairs.

Your profile:

  • Relevant education at Bachelor level (e.g., Bachelor in European Business or similar).  
  • Project management training and practical experience in project management would be an advantage.
  • Min. 5 years of experience in outbound sales to key accounts (KAM). If you have experience in the textile industry, this would be an additional advantage.
  • Experience in negotiation and quotations as well as in tenders and contracts.
  • Accustomed to international travel - approx. 40 overnight stays per year.
  • Fluent in German
  • Danish and English at negotiation proficiency level in writing and speaking. Other European languages at professional level would be a plus.
  • You have a driving license.
  • Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite, and SAP, ERP and CRM knowledge would be an advantage.

As a Global Key Account Manager, you will have broad contact with GKAM customers on many organisational levels, international MASCOT dealers, as well as MASCOT colleagues worldwide. It is important to be a good team player and to work with a positive mindset so that tasks are completed satisfactorily for all parties. 

You have a strong drive, and you make things happen. You are structured, persistent, and responsible. You thrive working analytically, you communicate clearly, and you naturally take on leadership roles, both in a customer context and internally. In addition, we expect you to have a stable CV.

The headquarters are built and decorated with focus on community, a good working environment and in such a way as to support the internal workflows. MASCOT’s headquarters is located next to the Herning motorway and main road A13, which provides easy access by car from all of Central Jutland and East Jutland.
