Area Sales Manager

We are growing in the UK and therefore we are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our team in the South East of England.

About the job

Your primary role is to develop and maintain a pipeline of distributors to increase the outlets promoting MASCOT in the UK. Moreover, you work with existing distributors to increase the sales of MASCOT products and help develop their trade business and ecommerce channels. All MASCOT product sales are done together with our distributors – our key to success.

Your sales area is located in the South East of England but you will also help your colleagues in other parts of the UK. You will work closely with the KAM who is also based in the same area. You will have various tasks, and you must be willing to travel as well as stay overnight. When you are not visiting customers, you will work from your home office.

You will be a part of a great team with colleagues all over the UK reporting to the National Business Development Manager.

Your tasks in the job:

  • Plan meetings as well as visit new and current distributors in your sales area
  • Build a strong pipeline and target potential new distributors
  • Register planned and completed visits through a CRM system
  • Become experts on our product range and maintain good product knowledge
  • Promote Mascot’s E-commerce solutions and added value services
  • Design and help to build our in store shop in shop solutions at our customers
  • Participate actively in meetings and in developing and implementing the growth strategy in the UK

Professional skills

You have at least 3 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager in a B2B environment, and you have experience with workwear and safety footwear and/or PPE-products. You can present solid and measurable results from previous jobs, and you have good negotiation skills. You have a persuasive personality, and you make long-term relationships with customers and distributors. You have a knowledge of MS Office, and you are used to working in a structured manner and using a CRM system to identify/follow-up on customers in your area.

In order to ensure the best results in the job, it is important that you work independently and have a strong work ethic – occasionally exceeding normal work hours. You take responsibility for your tasks and deadlines and follow up on planned activities.

It is expected that you already live in the district and it would be an advantage if you live in one of the following areas: Essex, Surrey or Cambridge. You must have the opportunity to establish a home office and you are willing to travel as and when required by the business. It is important that you have a stable CV.
